NIGHTMARES, NOSTALGIA AND NEURODIVERSITY IN THE SURREY HILLS.

About WiDi

WiDESPREAD DiSRUPTiON is a lengthening tail-back of recollections, confessions and legends inspired by author and entrepreneur Richard King‘s return to the enigmatic Surrey Hills of his childhood.

Richard weathers – and harnesses – his own perfect-storm of Tourette’s Syndrome, ADHD, OCD, Depression, Social Anxiety and Night Terrors. He advocates for the therapeutic power of the natural world to deliver independence, identity and inspiration to the neurodiverse, depressed and lost. He is a blogger and media witness for the mental health charity MIND.

Having written and sold topical jokes and sketches for radio and stage, Richard is now working hard on two books: an undiluted expose of all that’s wrong with grassroots kid’s football (plus innovative manifesto for putting it right); and an eerie, neurological thriller set around the North Downs.

Richard has caused disruptions in advertising sales and contract publishing, then travel media, charity events, cycling, and finally youth football. He has upset a few people along the way.

Richard lives in Dorking with his three children, pet Brittany, Tilda, and classic Porsche 997 GTS.
